So my husband and I have been having big problems with our little boy when I am home he wants nothing to do with daddy and tonight I stayed away after work for a few hours and it was better i am wondering if it is normal for the little one to not want dad when mom is home and how do I change it

This is quite common and its almost as if children only want to give their parents individual time, I wouldnt be concerned by it, get his Dad to play games, old fashioned board games are fun, and they have some  for younger children, read him stories and generally have fun, it has to come from the adult get Dad to make him laugh,,,that'll do it.
