Other than the bloated stomach are there any other symptoms of ascites? Such as vomiting, pain/discomfort, swollen ankles etc?

Swollen lower legs is called edema.

Symptoms of severe ascities would be a stomach bloated to the point the patient appears pregnant. Once the stomach is distended to that point it can interfere with breathing.

Swelling in the abdomen
Weight gain
Sense of fullness
Bloating
Sense of heaviness
Nausea or indigestion
Vomiting
Swelling in the lower legs
Shortness of breath
Hemorrhoids

I have some amount of edema in my lower legs and feet.

I used to have a small amount of ascities only noted on ultrasound but since my hep c was cured in 2015 it seem to have resolved. Would not have been aware I had mild ascities except by having the ultrasound saying so.

Yeah, I had a MRI a couple weeks ago and noted was "Trace Ascities" but I would never know it if not for the MRI. Similar to you with your US.
