just to add my 2 cents.  be carful what doctor you go see.   if it is chf you dont want a miss diagnosis. im going through a time with doctors now. after 6 ambulance rides and about 20 doctors visits i cant get out of bed and im being told im perfectly healthy.  i just dont want anybody else to be in that same situation. good luck!

You need to see a cardiologist perferably  with a chf speciality. I have had CHF for 9 yrs since a heart attack at age 36. Some days are better than others and my meds have been changed up over the years but I am still kicking. you can live with CHF your not dying but you need to listen to your doc and do your part to take care of your self.

Hi,

I do understand the anxiety this could bring, but not until diagnosis is made by your cardiologist, you should try not to think of negative things. With the availability of newer drugs to potentially favorably affect the progression of disease, the prognosis in congestive heart failure is generally more favorable nowadays compared from years ago. In some cases, especially when the heart muscle dysfunction has recently developed, a significant spontaneous improvement is may be observed, even to the point where heart function becomes normal. Outlook depends on several factors such as nature of the underlying heart disease,  response to medications,  the degree to which other organ systems are involved and the severity of other accompanying conditions, or  the patient's symptoms and degree of impairment. It is important that you have this evaluated by your doctor.

Take care and regards.
