Pregnancy

Hello I had some feed back a few weeks ago on my pregnancy an when I conceived I decided to do a dna test but until then I just wanted some kind of feed back to help prepare me for the results . My due date is March 14 I slept with someone who I believed the dates were June 25th but he has informed me he believes June 21st neither of us have any confirmed dates as to the right date . The chances of him being the father compared to my partner who I been with for 10 years . We hit a patch in our relationship an we both stepped out I just haven’t told him that this man is saying he could also be the father it never crossed my mind till after he spoke of it please help

I decided to do the dna test an I used accurate dna an as I was please to learn my partner of 10 years was the father until I discovered some very bad reviews . This test was already 900 .  I asked them for a redo of these because of the reviews I found an they assured me they run the test 3 times before giving  results I’m not sure if I’m just being very over thoughtful on it or if I should indeed trust the results I was giving

I'm glad you got a positive result for your partner. If you aren't comfortable with the results, you could always do a test with a different lab. I might note that women who get results that are wrong from a DNA lab are more likely to be wrongly told the guy isn't the dad than to be told he is the dad. It did sound like your longtime partner had the better odds, if that helps.
I should also remind, sometimes posts are quite old, and sometimes people aren't complaining they got wrong results, but that something else about the experience was not up to standard. Even that kind of report is getting increasingly rare, so again, always look at the date. For a while in the last decade, prenatal DNA testing was kind of the wild, wild West, with good labs sometimes overshadowed by aggressive or less-careful places. But it seems to no longer be true. If lots of problems were still happening, we would hear about it here all the time, and we just aren't. We do occasionally get a question or a claim there was a mistake, but collecting labs have gotten better at handling the samples and requiring ID, and the processing labs have become very careful.  (And why wouldn't they -- the lawsuits if they gave the wrong results would put them out of business.)  We hear from women who have used pretty much all the companies, and there just is no evidence that this is a problematic kind of test to get in terms of lab work. Try not to let your worries take you down a rabbit hole.

Hi, Joj, did you witness the guy taking the second test (the one that seems to discredit the first test he took?)
Joj, thanks for writing back on that other thread and pointing out that another test confirmed your first test, which meant your baby was from the man you tested with after all.

Last time you wrote about this situation, you said you stepped out with the other guy in May. Above you are saying it's June. Do you have any way to clarify at least what month it was?

Oh, sorry, I see that you also stepped out with him once in June.

If you're asking whether he could be correct in thinking you had sex on June 21 and not June 25, one of you has to find a way to confirm when you got together in June. Did you go out to eat? Could he or you look on your credit card records and find a bill? If there is nothing, you are just going to have to do a DNA test. You can do a DNA test before the baby is born if you have the big bucks, or you can do it after the baby comes for a much more reasonable fee. I'm sorry, but guesses online can't reliably answer something that you haven't enough information to answer.  :-(
