Bad Taste/Breath

I have bad breath its so embarrassing and I'm so self conscious about it.  I have been having trouble with my sinuses, however I have now have sprays that help a lot.

I find that I get the bad taste every couple of weeks just after I've had sinus pain in my head. The thing is I also have a root filling and this is were the taste/smell comes from.

Its really getting on my nerves now and i feel like I can't talk to people in case they smell it.  Plus it makes me not get so close to guys and I think its ruining my confidence. Mouth washes don't work and just mask it for about half an hour and even when I'm chewing gum I can still taste it.

Please help me find a way to get rid before I start getting really depressed!!!!

I could not figure out how to post on the Bad Breath/Smelly Floss/ Smelly Saliva, so here I am.
I have a family member who experiences a very similar condition as some of you, which is why I am looking around for a cause/cure. As for myself, I notice that sometimes when I sneeze it is followed briefly by an odd musky smell. I do not like it. Sometimes I notice a similar odor in my saliva, on the top of a coke bottle, or glass. I want it to go away. Flossing helps. So does Listerine mouth wash and gargle (make sure you do the full 30 seconds!). Something else I employ at times, is a saline nasal flush using a "nettipot" or just a CLEAN squirt bottle. (That's right. Warm saline intentionally squirted up your nose!!! TIlt your head back. Fill your nose. Hold your nose, bend over to get it up into your sinuses, stand upright, and let the flood gates go. It feels horrible at first, but wonderful when you are done! **This may be best perfomed in the shower. ha ha ha) Another culprit (I think) is nuts. Peanuts especially. Apparently small pieces of peanuts find their way into the passages in the back of my throat that go ...well somewhere. I am not sure if the nut pieces are decaying or what, but when I get them out, they wreak. (Isn't this all so pleasant?)  Something else that I suspect, but have no way to prove, is soy, or possibly MSG. I say this because the sneeze odor seems to be worse if I eat chinese food, sushi with soy, or ..and I know this is wierd, terriyaki beef jerky???  ...hey I am just putting this out there.  Good luck kids.

Malodour of mouth (halitosis) is generally cused by a substance called volatile sulfide compound, which is mainly produced by bacteria. Seeing a dentist to receive comprehensive exam is advised.
