I had a silver point root canal in 1987 and have had problems since 1990. Began with ear problems, then the sinus, thyroid, tinnitus, facial pain, mastoid pain problems began. Had the offending tooth pulled in 2010. Days after a fistula appeared on the gum and I suffered massive head pain as the infection drained. However the infection persists. Had tooth x-rays, CAT scans, MRI s, seen a dozen doctors, dentists , ENTs. Nobody believes me. I know I'm sick, I know my body (been in it for over 60 years) Sometimes feel near death. When the secondary infections become too great, I try to get antibiotics but at least half the time the idiot doctors tell me, "you're ear drum isn't red, I don't think you need antibiotics ($100 per visit). The only antibiotic that works well is Augmentin which tells me the B-Lactase Inhibitor Potassium Clavulante is a necessity. Back pain under the scapula is a new pain. All the infections and maladies affect the left side of my body, same side as the bad tooth. They don't think there is a connection. I'm certain of it, but what can I do, as they won't help. Right now I'm pretty sick with fatigue, ear and facial pain, mastoid pain and getting sicker. I'm 62, feeling terrible and frankly I'm Scared.
