Gum and tooth hurt

I got an infection in my gums where they put 2 crowns on. Is it  common for this to happen?

Hi Missy,
This does not sound normal, Somehow the gums must have been very irritated, some cement or bonding material has gotten stuck there. Go back to your dentist, have them take xrays, and clean around these teeth well. If there is gum disease, then it must be taken care of also.
