Keep Implant/ sinus problems

Hi,
About a year ago, I had an implant placed on my front right tooth#9. With tissue and bone graft. The two teeth next to it had root canals also. I was in an accident.
After it was done, my gums started to become sensitive and recede around it, and I started to get frequent sinusitis. I've seen an Ent and he said he thinks it's not related. Also my oral surgeon said this.
After waiting a couple of months I had a gum graft.
With a periodontist. All while wearing a removable flipper, which I hated. But didn't get sinus infections for a while. Though my gums are still receded and sensitive.
I just had a temp bridge placed, and the periodontist said my gums should go down around it. I just got sinusitis two days after the crown was placed. The pressure from my sensitive gum seems to radiate through my entire head. It feels like the implant is to big. To the point were I'm thinking of having the implant removed and just getting a bridge, since I'll need crowns on the other two root canaled teeth anyway. I just can't stand getting anymore sinus infections and the implant feels so foreign. Also my periodontist said I may need another bone and gum graft$$.  The 3rd one. Any advice, is it worth it to keep going?  I didn't  have sinusitis or receded gums before. Does this usually happen with implants?

If there is no evidence of peri-implantitis or mucositis, removal of implant is probably not helpful. Occasionally, gum sensitivity may be a manifestation of trigeminal dysfunction. Optimal cosmetic   result can be restored by proper Pontic fabrication. Consultation with your periodontist is advised.

Thank you so much for your response. Do you think if I have the implant removed altogether my gum line would even out, and the sensitivity would go away?

Your implant complications are rare occurrence. Sinusitis is probably not related to implant procedure. Bone and gum graft procedure is for optimal cosmetic outcome. If you really don't want to go through multiple surgical procedure, it's o.k. To rehabilitate by fixed bridge and leave implant as sleepers. Fixed bridge generally yield satisfactory esthetic result.
