Implants and auo-immune disease

Hi, I live in Australia. I got a partial lower denture just 3 days ago and I hate it! Truly painful and difficult to use. I was wondering, as I have Hashimoto's disease would implants be better? I was told that my body may react to the posts. Does anyone else have this issue?
I had some back molars out when I was a child and over the past few years. Last one was taken last December.
I truly do not think I can put up with this stupid denture another minute longer, and really would like some information on implants.

Hashimoto disease is a thyroid problem and as such is very well known , the treatment as you probably know is taking replacement thyroxin.. I assume you are already in treatment fo rthat and have stablized your health.. if so there should not be any problem getting implants..As always it is a good idea to do a blood teest wit your physician first and clear the work with him/her  and then see your dentist and get the work done..
All the best .

If hashimoto's diseae does'nt affect your immune competency, wound healing, hemostasis, as well as xerostomia, You are probably an acceptable candidate for implant procedure. Consultation with your MD is essential.
Removable partial lower denture can be worn comfortably if properly made, although chewing efficiency is approximately 50-60 percent of natural teeth. Seeing a prosthodontist is advised.

I had my thyroid removed totally. So, yes, take replacement thyroxin.  I continue to get root abscesses from my impaired immune system. Hence the removal of the molars (grrrrrrr) Although this seems to be stable at the moment.
What blood test are you recommending?
