You should sue her, seriously, or report her at the very least. That is illegal, she is not allowed to give out any of your information that you talk about with anyone else, unless you specify otherwise. You have to report her to wherever you can in your town. Do some research on it, and report her. You don;'t have to go to counseling to cure depression. Since you had a bad experience, it actually might produce more depression/anxiety going to counseling. I think you should just talk to close friends and family about what you are going through, or talk on this forum to people that understand. Mainly, try to exercise at least 3-4 times a week for at least 30 minutes. Exercise will really help you to feel better. Give it a try =). And start taking supplements such as Fish Oil, Vitamin D, Co Q10, and B12. All of these will really help brighten your mood. I am so sorry you are going through this , and that your idiot counselor released information about you. That's beyond wrong. It will get better though, stay strong. Here to talk if you need to!

You're welcome!Ohh no I am so sorry, that's not good and certainly frustrating!  I completely understand not wanting to overwhelm friends with your thoughts. It's hard because most of our in person friends, do not truly understand what we are going through. I have found that this forum really helps me, because you realize that you are not alone. Everyone is so nice on here, and sometimes it just helps me to look around on here, and read about what other people are going through. It puts my problems into a different light, and makes it  more manageable. Also, people will listen on here. Try to make one really close friend on here that you can consistently talk to about what is going on with you =). I am always here to talk and listen if you need! I'm sorry that you are not close enough with your family to be able to talk to them about this...that's really rough. Maybe a guy friend or boyfriend? They tend to be willing to listen sometimes =). I really hope the exercise helps you!I know how hard it is to get into a routine with it, I am currently out of my routine due to anxiety issues, but once you stay in a routine I do know it truly helps with your mind and how you feel!!Stay strong it will all get better soon =). And thank you for saying that, you are so nice, and that made my day!!

She had no right to do that unless she thought your life was in danger.I would consult your family doctor and I agree with the above poster, keep your body healthy and your mind will follow, you should consider meds because the right ones can make life so much easier but depression meds are trial and error until you find the one for you.All the best.

Depression will usually worsen with out any kind of treatment, but will not just worsen because you are not taking medication. Things like exercise, a healthy diet, and supplements are all natural things that you should be doing every day anyway to keep your body healthy. These things seem to help a lot with depression, and will help you avoid having to depend on a medication. I think if you suppress depression though, with out any help, in time it will probably always surface again. Try to get some kind of help as far as what I said above, or maybe counseling. That can help too. I know how much depression ***** though so I feel you.
