Hi there. I agree that other moms are out there waiting to meet you. now and especially when that baby is born! There is a group I really liked called MOPS. It's national, so most every city will have it. It's run at churches but you don't have to be super religious to join at all and can be any faith. They provide child care and then have meetings at least once a month where you connect with other moms, talk about things related to family and home, do a craft that is actually useful and eat food. I made one of my best friends through mops! Then they typically have social outings where people bring their kids, their spouses, etc. It's really a nice social organization for moms of young kids.
Never underestimate the power of exercise. This is terrific for helping with depression the natural way. Granted, true clinical depression requires medication but since you may not be taking meds during pregnancy, all of the natural things you can do should be explored. No. You aren't going to go on a 22 mile spring. LOL But, there are classes and things you could do and I've always met other moms in those classes. The YMCA and YWCA will allow people to join on a sliding fee scale depending if money is an issue. It can be completely free for some! Worth checking into.
wishing you all the best. And important to discuss this with your ob. When you deliver, you'll want to watch for post partum so that you can have that treated.
Congratulations on a successful pregnancy.. Your little one will be here to keep u busy in no time at all!! Have u spoke to your fiancee and told him how you are feeling? Pregnancy can be a beautiful thing and joyous experience but it can also go the other way as hormones get outta whack. Maybe call your local WIC office and sign up for a parenting class so you can meet other moms to talk and hang out with. Or maybe a Lamaze class?
