depressed

A couple of months ago I was diagnosed with depression. I have been taking Fluoxetine HCL, 40MG. I was going good for a while..until about a few week ago I stopped taking my meds..it was an accident at first. Recently I have been feeling really out of it..not myself. I fell like I am not really there. I am not sure why I feel like this. I have had major headaches too. I am not sure at this point what to do . I am feeling depressed again.

Hey you must start your meds again.  They were making you feel better.  I once went a year without anti-depressants and felt good, but the depression came back.  You may be someone, like me, that needs medication.

Go back to your doctor and have a chat.  See what they say.  Don't go on feeling like you do now.

And if your wondering why it took so long for the symptoms of depression to come back, when taking medication , it must first build up in your system before having any effect, same with when you stop taking it. It takes a little time for your system to rid itself of the medication as well.
Take care!

Well for one, you have quit your meds and that is probably why. You said yu were going good for awhile until you quit taking your meds. My suggestion is to start taking your meds again.
Even if you accidentally forget, you should still take them upon remembering, even if the time is overdue. Did you stop taking them because you had accidentally forgot to? You really just might want to start taking them again, but first let your doctor who prescribed them know what had happened and make sure you can start them again.
Remember, better late than never!!
Hope you get this taken care of soon!
