Reaction to Fluoxatone Mirtazapine combo

Hi, in August of 2008 i was using mirtazapine that had been prescribed to me earlier in the year. I went to switch to fluoxatone (40). I was having trouble sleeping so took a small amount of mirtazapine on the same day as i took fluoxatine. Shortly after i became hot, agitated, my muscles started twitching, i had pains in my hands feet, head, neck, chest and back. I had a strange tingley sensation that moved around my head (both inside and out). Pins and needles moving over my body, blurry vision etc. This lasted for 3 weeks and then i was left with twitching muscles pains and tingley sensation that has been with me for 7 months. The pains are made alot worse by sex, alcohol, and certain foods (junk) as well as tea and coffee. Any advice for me please?

I have seen help but they aren't really interested. They seem to think that this reaction could not have rusulted from these meds and that it's all in my head. Oh well. I Just hope i'm not stuck with this forever.

You need to see your doc asap, Medhelp is not a replacement for a medical opinion.
