Need Help!

Hi, am 20, residing at Bangalore, I need help, I've been feeling lonely since 2007, its killing me, I've met Pshyciatrists and doctors but didn't help!

I loved a person early that year. We knew each other but never personally met, but I loved her deeply, she said the same too but just 3 months later she cheated. Ever since things started going down. Now the thoughts of suicide keep coming like waves. I now am not thinking of her anymore I'm fine but still feeling very lonely. Is there some thing I can do?

Thank you ginsa, I spend a lot of time on my pc too, in fact most of the time... well I do want to be with friends but its just that people use like an ornament! i.e. I make everyone smile and everyone praise that i'm very nice person and all that... but not one has been true friend and that makes me feel sooo ... you understand I guess... :-)

I'm sorry to know of your loneliness. I suffer from the same problem. What helps me is to force myself to do things where there are other people around. There's nothing like the human touch either. Spend as much time as possible in the presence of family and friends. Join a club or volunteer. Anything that might help keep your mind occupied will  help.

I think we sometimes get into a vicious cycle. Depression makes us want to withdrawl from society, that creates loneliness, which makes us more depressed, etc....
I know I spend way too much time on the PC. It's nice to be able to connect with other people this way, but it's no substitute for physical interaction with others.

Just know that you are not alone. I really feel for you!
