Hi there, first, congrats on the new baby!!!!
Listen sweetie, the way you feel is perfectly normal, AND very very common. Pregnancy is an amazing miracle, but it's also a HUGE assault on the woman's body. It takes TIME for your body to readjust back to its pre-pregnancy state, and for some women, it never DOES return to exactly the same condition as you started out with.
There are all KINDS of very very easy apps and trackers out there now that will help you start getting those extra pounds off. It WILL happen, you just have to give it time, and be patient. Of course, it takes work too, making dietary and exercise changes. Do you have any friends who are also new moms? There is nothing better than having a work-out/diet buddy! You can take the babies for a walk in the park, enjoy a healthy lunch together, those kinds of things!!
In the meantime, while you're working on getting back to your pre-baby size, PLEASE be kind to yourself. TRY (I know it's hard) not to be overly focused on your weight. Do things that will lift your spirits and self esteem. Things like a make over, new hair style/color, mani/pedi. Motherhood is rough enough, but it certainly leaves us with a LOT less time to focus on those kinds of things. It always made me feel better post baby to get dulled up once in a while, change my hairstyle/color, get my nails done. While motherhood makes you FEEL like a hot mess without a doubt (LOL), you don't have to look the part!
Make sure too that you're wearing clothes that are a proper fit and flattering to your new curves. A lot of women get stuck in a rut where they just cannot bear the idea of buying larger sizes, so they attempt to squeeze into their old clothes (or continue wearing maternity clothes). You don't have to buy a ton of things, especially if you're going to start working on getting back into shape, but you can buy a few outfits that are comfortable and flattering. It will make you feel much better about yourself.
I know it's hard, I've been there, done that. Heck, my daughter is 16 and I swear I still haven't lost all of my baby weight from her (okay okay, that's my excuse anyway, lol).
Take care, and please keep in touch.
P.S....check out our weight loss & dieting community. The community leader there, Barb, is awesome! You'll get all KINDS of tips and ideas. The goal is gradual loss. There IS no quick fix, despite all of the "magical" cures you'll hear about and see advertised. Doing it the right way will lead to a weight loss that you'll more likely maintain, versus getting stuck on the yo yo train.
