I have a hard time waking up too, but I don't feel depressed. I just feel very groggy and not refreshed.
I'm right there with you. I can say for fact that is you are suffering from severe depression then waking in the morning or from a nap is like taking a walk thru Hell.
I get this so bad that after waking I actually feel imobile. My body and head get this strange buzzing sensation and my arms and legs feel as if they weight a ton. My head feels heavy and cloudy and my vision almost seems impared.
That's not poor nutrition, bad diet, or medications, that is exactly how Severe Depression feels in the morning or after sleeping.
It's like you feel every nerve in your body standing on end, but at the same time your absolutly exausted. Does you balance and equalibrium also seem messed up really bad after waking?
I take lexapro and ativan. It's been going on for months now. I've been on many different ones because I'm med sensitive and it's always pretty much been the same. seems worse now on the lexapro but I just started it 3 weeks ago. Do you think it could be from the meds?
What meds if any are you on? How long has this been going on?
