I was diagnosed with HPV a few years ago and have had cryotherapy procedures at numerous times. Most recently I went to the doc because of very small hardly noticeable bumps all over the shaft of my penis. The doctor told me it is not possible to have Fordyce bumps on the shaft and that they were warts. After 5 minutes on the internet I found evidence proving that diagnosis incorrect, and have concluded that the 50+ bumps on my shaft must be Fordyce, considering the sheer number of them and the distinct visual differences from them and the previous warts I have had. I didn't just go to the doctor for these bumps; there seems to be a bump the head of my penis near(practically at) the opening of the urethra(at the 'top', if looking at the penis it straight on). This area had me really worried, as it was sometimes clearly visible and at other times seemingly not there. There seems to be a dark spot, brownish-blueish in the middle of the elevated area as well-- somewhat similar to the first warts I had under the head of my penis. The doctor told me he thought it was a blood vein, and to forget about it, and that cryo there would hurt really bad. For example, this morning when I woke up it wasn't elevated whatsoever, and there was just a faint dark spot, but for the last 2 days it had been elevated. Has anyone been diagnosed with a similar 'blood vessel'? Thanks for reading, any feedback is appreciated.
From the symptoms it looks like Fordyce spots and the vein that you are mentioning can be superficial vessels or lymphatics of the penis. Fordyce spots are small, painless, raised, pale or white spots or bumps 1 to 3 mm in diameter that may appear on the shaft of the penis. The spots are a form of ectopic sebaceous gland, and are not known to be associated with any disease or illness and are of cosmetic concern only. They are non-infectious and a natural occurrence on the body.
Lymphatics should be left as such and Fordyce spots should be removed for cosmetic reasons only.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
