I had the same pin prick, bugs crawling feeling on skin for years and found the answer. Diet.
I stopped eating apples and the majority of this went away. Also when I eat gluten 7 to 10 days later I get itching, freaky crawling, pin pricks.
I have had nothing of this sort for over two years by avoiding common foods causing irritation or indigestion.
In other words, the feelings are weird but are probably related to poor digestion, and consequent immune system reaction.
One more tip. If you have slow or poor digestion, eat a little high GI white rice with most meals. It saved my health.
Everything you said about your experience with this crawling sensation is the same as what I've been feeling for about 8 months now, with no end in sight. How are you and your family doing now? Have you found any answers?
I'm only a 19 year old female and I'm going through something similar. I've had parasites twice as a child, so I'm not sure if that's why I feel the way I feel or not. I stay patting my skin because it always feels like worms are crawling out. This might sound crazy but one time I was almost a teenager, a young adolescent, and I was sick and had to get a shot. I took the bandaid off to look at the whole and it was something crawling out of my skin, and I just rapidly put it back on, hours later I checked again and it was gone. I know it's hard to believe but it's true. It looked like a small crab like or a spider like parasite was crawling out of my skin. I'm always hitting myself thinking that something is on me. When I look at my skin sometimes I prepare myself to see a hole from the worms, but they're never there. I feel like I'm h going crazy sometimes and I just break down in tears. I'm scared to tell doctors because they will probably think something is mmentally wrong with me. It *****.
Try streching your legs b4 bed and ibprophine or motrin that helps if its rls.
Get a microscope that includes a light and examine your skin that is accessible to you the next time you feel the itching. You figure it out. Sounds like Morgellon’s to me...
I had the same symptoms. Do you know how it feels when you sweat after an intense workout, and you get itchy all over your body, that is how mine felt. I start to take notice in what I was eating. I eliminated some thing to try and rule out what was causing the problem, and I noticed that if I eat pork, eight hours later I would have the itchy feeling. At first I thought it was in my head, but I tested it on a number of occasions and the itching would come on later that night or early that morning around 2:00 or 3:00. So now I try to stay away from breakfast food that sever pork, or any pork products. Also I just read that the medication I was taking have pork jelliton in it, that explained why I was itching so bad, despite the fact of not eating pork. I have no clue as why this was happening, so I looked it up and I found out that it this type of allergy occur if you have been bit by a tick. You could have been bit as a child or when you was an adult, but the tick releases some kind of antigens that stays within your body years later, and it sometimes trigger when some people eat red meat or pork. I hope this help. It definitely helped me because I can control it better.
You, easily, got this wrong. Arachnophobia is a fear of spiders and other arachnids. You are WAY off the page with this "theory".
What kind of sleep meds did you take? I have the same problem and I know for sure what caused it. The first time it happened I was taking a generic sleep aid for a while. Active ingredient diphenhydramine. When I stopped taking it the itching started exactly like you say is happening to you. Random itchy feeling like something is crawling but in the same spot, sometimes in a couple of areas in the body then switching to another. Mostly oN my torso & head and most of the time when I'm not active like on the sofa or bed. When I took the sleep aid it would go away. When I stopped it would come back. I finally just stopped completely and dealt with. it finally stopped but mo the later. That was years ago. About 6 months ago, I was having trouble sleeping and obviously forgot what I'd gone through this before. I took some sleeping pills, generic, but I found out most have this active ingredient. Took it for about a week. When I stopped, the itching stated again!! I was so mad at myself! So here I am 6 months later dealing with it again. Sometimes I can't sleep at all and it ***** cuz I can't take a sleeping pill lol. Hoping it just goes away like it did last time. Hope this helps.
Also might be the metal used in fillings of teeth. Saw this on Medical Mysteries, the guy almost went crazy thinking he had scabies or parasites that no doctor could help with. One specialist finally figured out it was his metal fillings. He had them removed and the crawling sensation ceased. Must have had porcelain fillings to replace them. Worth checking into. Good luck!
It's more then likely mold spores.my mother started out with it a few weeks ago and I got it 3 days ago looked up invisible bugs biting on bing search engine and came across this
linkhttp://invisiblebitingbugscure.blogspot.com/2011/08/cure-for-invisible-biting-bugs-on-skin.html?m=1
it describes my situation right down to my son's,so I decided to try the things suggested in the link.so i go to turn off the a.c and look in the return vent and sure enough a pile of dust a inch and a half thick sat all over the inside, funny thing is the filter sits under the a.c unit and ***** all the air and dust back back into the unit which basically cycles all the air and dust back into the house worse part is the landlord used the cheapest filter he could find.since cleaning and keeping the a.c unit of until the ducts can be cleaned the feeling of being bitten has dropped dramatically I highly suggest all those who suffer from this please read the inclosed link and try some of the things suggested it worked for me and I truly hope it works for you
Read my latest comment - I have evidence of a tic, and perhaps the cure. This is of national interest and peoples ignorance has led this to be a world-wide epidemic.
I will have youtube videos soon with my 800X hand-held microscope evidence.

They are sensitive to light and heat, you will have a hard time to see them as they are very fast and black dots hop a few centimeters at a time. They lay eggs and make blood paths under the skin, with an 800x microscope you will see fine blood trails and if you start sweating you will see the tiny white balls rapidly travelling along the blood trails, if you put the microscope out of focus a bit you can barely notice the white balls leaving the red holes at the end of the blood trails, then they can't be seen.
The tiny black dots on your skin are blood spots where the tics have layed eggs. You will see near the black spots (under white surface oils or a mucous on skin you may notice things swirling around - these are the eggs that are nearly hatched or have done so and they come and go as they please through the tiny red holes.
My photos and video evidence is now on my google drive - just have to sort and edit and figure out how to post on youtube and to make a web-site.

PS: We really feel it has something to do with our house because if we go away for a few days, the crawling sensation stops.
Hi Everyone,
My wife and I need help. For 6 months now she and I feel invisible bugs crawling on our skin. We have never seen them (microscopic?) and we do not get bites but we feel the sensation nearly all the time. We are suspecting mites but who knows. We now feel them in our car and at work. Everyone thinks we are crazy because there is no physical evidence. We are pretty sure we are not crazy because after spending a lot of time at our house helping us clean, my mother-in-law now has the crawling bug sensation. If it was just myself or just my wife, I would say the answer is "crazy." But the fact that it is both my wife and i as well as my mother in law, I feel it is a legitimate issue. We have tried:
1. washing everything in borax.
2. drying things on high
3. using a dehumidifier
4. washing floors/vacuuming all the time
5. spraying with windex/lavender
6. frequent showers
7. leaving out vinegar
8. and more
I have not seen any answers anywhere. I doubt it is bed bugs b/c we have no bites and we cannot see anything. Sometimes I feel like I have got them out of my car but they come back. Sometimes I feel like they are in my clothes and sometimes not. I could go on and on but it has been 6 months now and it is driving my wife and I crazy. Can someone please help?
I have it too, and for a long time, thought it was all in my head as I am the only one in a house of 4, with that sensation.
However, my brother, halfway across the world in Nigeria also complains of the same symptoms.
I have had NO history of bedbugs in my home ever, but found out that the sensation is worse whenever I let my dog on my bed 2 days or more after his last bath.
side the house.
It is important to note that he does not have a single tick or flea on him.....I make sure of that with an obsessive compulsion.
I suspect he might have some naturally inhabiting dust or bird mites on his fur that he picks up over time from within and outside.
Also noteworthy is the fact that I do not have problems with the sensation if I have him on my bed very the day he got his bath/shower.
I found out that the most effective way to manage it is to always take a good bath before bedtime.
Cover your mattress with a waterproof padding.
Keep your linings changed weekly and as needed with freshly washed sheets....straight outta the dryer.
I'd also suggest using insecticides on your mattress and beddings, hours before bedtime, every now and then.
Cover with the bedlinen with a blanket to keep the fumes trapped inside after spraying it for hours too.
Another alternative is to spray the OFF spray on the mattress, just before going to bed. It is not quite as effective as the insecticide, but it is better than nothing.
Midges - no see'ums might be the problem. For all practical purposes they are invisible and highly prevalent in the South, but spreading north. When you stop moving, they will land and suck blood, like when at the computer and when laying down. They follow the body heat and exhaled carbon dioxide. So use OFF! spray. When it gets cold outside, let the inside of your place also get cold - that kills them. An old hunting trick is to drink a teaspoon of any kind of vinegar before going into the woods, this helps also - dilute in water. I hung a fly paper roll up, and could see the ones that landed on it by using a magnifying glass. We also set up a bug light in the living room and could see the extremely tiny wings by using a magnifying glass.
If you have tiny black and white dots everywhere or on your clothes & skin. It’s super bed bugs, i shower with a sulfur soap and ACV and then put Vaseline all over my body and you will see what comes out of your skin, it amazing. And wash my hair with a shampo and alcohol mix. That seems to work. Praying for everyone!!!

Cold showers, hand sanitizer, hair dryer, vacuum with hepa filter are you're best friends lol. Dont let rain water accumulate and evaporate anywhere near you or anything you want to keep. Don't hold on to anything that has been out in the rain and use hair dryer to dry yourself and clothes off when you get home on a rainy day. Clean with hand sanitizer mixed with water in a spray bottle, or a uv light, or steam cleaner, or even hair dryer. hot showers make it worse. vaccuum yourself (sounds weird but try it and you'll see what I mean) Stay away from dusty environments. Don't ever think its all in your head. It can get way worse trust me. I let it get out of control and it almost killed me. Then awhile later it got in my mouth and I lost all my teeth and it has made me look pretty bad. Its everywhere all over everything and for some reason we are the lucky ones that it attacks. Or maybe we are the ones that it cant infect and everyone else is doomed..... It can cause so many really bad health problems. It is constantly trying to cover more and more of you with a thicker and thicker layer of it so its a numbers game: keep the numbers down and the symptoms become fewer and less noticeable. Let it build up and the symptoms will get wore and you'll get more of them. And the ways that it affects you will get worse and worse, pain gets worse and worse, starts changing the way you look and you're ability to function. And it will really start to **** your life up completely. It pretty much will make you weak, exhausted, ugly, looking dirty, smelling bad, You're nose will always be running really bad, breath really bad from teeth decaying no matter what and that will hurt alot until they all fall out even if you have the best oral hygiene and see a dentist daily it wont stop. Skin starts getting bad with sores pimples then looks necrotic. swelling in legs, hands, face. And you start to lose cognitive ability and motivation. You just lay there and watch it get worse.
So Please dont let yourself go through what I did. The more of it you have on you the faster it accumulates. I know of more than a few people that were suffering so bad they had no desire to live anymore and chose to end their life. You wont ever experience anything like what I've described if you just stay on top of it, the less you have on you or around you the easier it is to fight it. Be clean, be healthy, practice good hygiene, and stay away from things and places that look really gross and dirty or decaying
Please consider mites, there are 245,000 tagged adn so many still unknown. What makes my scalp crawl are collombola, considered mites, but they are special kind also called hexapods. They are 1-3 mm and their babies are even smaller, called snow fleas. They were either maliciously put on my head and/ or my home. The medical community is not doing what they are supposed to do, they would sooner label people as crazy and put them on some anti-psychotic. The science community ahs to accept that they are parasitic and make their home on humans, under their skin before any solutions can be found. Till then I suggest you join skin mite groups on FB. Mites are also responsible for Morgellons.
Try taking an enzyme supplement. I have had the same symptoms for the past few months & believe it is a very early stage of Morgellons. If it is, you need to cut out most sugar from your diet & processed foods. I am taking something called Candex, grapefruit seed extract, oregano oil & a parasite detox vitamin from my functional doc by a co. called Food Research. Praying your issue has been resolved & you don't need the advice.
I’ve finally figured out my issue! Ive had this annoying issue for over 10 tens. It seems to get worst and more difficult to get any sleep. Ive tried everything. The best quick solution so that I can stop the crawling feelings at night is to spray myself with rubbing alcohol. That usually allows enough time for me to fall asleep. Sulfur soaps helps too but only for a few weeks. After going to the doctor for a allergy test I’ve found out that I’m allergic to dustmite! They are everywhere and impossible to get rid of. The dr told me to go to costco to get Aller-tec ($20 for 365 pills) to help with the itching. I’ve also bought dustmite proof mattress covering, pillow covers, and duvet covers. That seems to help the most. Please go to the dr to get yourself tested. I will be happy to answer any question.
Its a mold infestation in ur crib that's causing u to have these symptoms bruh... 100% positive.!
