Have you by any chance had acne treatments.
Hi there have you ever taken Acne treatments such as Roaccutane which contains Isotretinoin. I ask because there are many people with this symptoms ive had it for years sticky skin, hair falling out even in my eyes. Through my research im trying to find things in common with people to try figure this out. Dermatologists can not assist me with some miracle cure. They say it can also be menapause, but there are young girls who have started acne treatment who also have developed sticky skin. There are also reports from people on different cancer treatment who also have developed Acquired Cutaneous adherence syndrome known as sticky skin. Maybe do some research in these areas. Your meds may b causing it too. But im just as curious so I am investigating any possible case to then find the root then treat or supplement accordingly. Hope any of this info has helped.
Hello,
One possibility is of fungal infection. The other possibilities which I can think of are moisture(due to sweating or frequent washing), the abrasion caused by clothing, sticky skin( although not a medical condition as such unless caused by medicines like retinoids) and sweat dermatitis.
Use some mild soap like Dove. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid after consulting a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
That's how mine started out. Then it got worse. What I mentioned is a supplement, not a medicine.
Hi allmymarbles,
I will check with my doctor as I take many meds. However my skin does not come off? It is just sticky when nearly wet and gone when my skin is dry.
Thanks
I understand completely. I used to call it extra skin. Don't you notice when in the shower that, no matter how hard you scrub yourself, there is still more skin to come off? Take 10 drops of Biosil (a bioavailable form of silicon) daily. It will clear up the skin problem and is also great for hair and nails. At least it was for me.
