White Skin Appearing

Hello, my name is Michael

I recently got an itch on my left arm which left like a rough area of skin about and inch big. I started applying "ratio*- AMCINONIDE"(cream) onto the area thinking it would let it heal up better.  But today I just noticed around that the itched area has white skin surrounding* it about inch long. I am tanned and this is noticeable when I come into light.  The skin has changed into a white tone. Not the itch area but around it has white skin now.

I just looked up the Amocinonides side effect and it says "Change in Pigmentation" and I thought this has to be it.

So what I'm asking is will this go away once I stop using the cream?
I hope my explanation made sense.

Thank you for your time.
ps. I will upload a picture if necessary .

Best Regards,

Michael

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
What you seem to be having is post inflammatory hypopigmentation after using the cream. Although this type of skin problem is very difficult to treat, but you can try Elidel cream or Protropic ointment on these hypopigmented areas. But use them after a dermatologist’s guidance. If the symptoms still persist then you can talk to your dermatologist about laser-assisted chemabrasion(LACA).It has provided excellent results in such hypopigmentation.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing. Kind regards.
