I am honestly unsure. After 6-1/2 yrs. of injections, my son went on the pump last August. We never used insulin pens. I found some information about lantus cartridges, but not a lot. Talk to your endocrinologist and pharmacist.
4)In your opinion, what is the best, most convenient and fastest glucose meter?
We have used Lifescan's One Touch Ultra & Ultra Smart glucometers. It takes 5 seconds and the company has always been helpful. You do not need a lot of blood and it is only 5 seconds, but someone else might have another brand that they can post info. on for you.
5)Are you aware of any type of research being done to produce insulin from the liver?
