weight loss for celiac and type 1 diabetes

I have recently been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and celiac disease. Since then I have gained quite a bit of weight. I exercise 2-3 times a week but it doesn't seem to be helping at all. any suggestions?

Eat only wheat bread not white, sweet potato not white, plenty of vegies like broccoli, chicken and fish. Try to eat pork and beef maybe once a week. Try this, I did and dropped 22 lbs. in 3 weeks. Hope this helps.

hello!
I'm having a similar problem myself, BUT, my endo says that going on the insulin pump is a good way to loose weight as the intake of insulin is reduced by 20%! I lost a bit of weight when I was on it too, but i just personally find my life easier with the insulin pens! In saying that, it is much better to use the pump for type 1 diabetics! (its just not for everybodies lifestyle) :)

I'm not familiar with Celiacs disease but type 1 diabetes has absolutely no effect on weight loss.. I have type 1 diabetes and I work out about 5 or 6 hours a day 5 days a week.

IN FACT: working out will only maybe your glucose control better
