Has anyone tried an acai berry supplement?

I'm very curious about these. It's appealing to me because it's natural and seemingly very healthy. But I'm not convinced it'll actually have any effect on my weight. I found these reviews http://whichacaiberry.com/acai-reviews/ but the response is still very mixed.

Can anyone (who's not joined the forum purely to respond to my question!) tell me if they've had genuine results from one of these products?

I tried the juice once as I had seen all the hype in magazines, TV, and online about how beneficial acai was supposed to be.  The juice tasted HORRIBLE and it was expensive too.  Don't waste your money.

Hi,

yes I have tried it for a month or so while I was on a diet then stopped it but still kept being on the diet... NO result at all... honestly in my case it was expensive and completely useless... I think when people say they've had results it's because they've been on a strict (I mean hardcore) diet with it... so duh there is a result... now whether it's due to the berries... I hardly think so...

That of course is just my opinion :)
