Sometimes being "in range" is not good enough. I, too, have Hashimoto's/hypothyroidism and if I don't keep my FT3 levels at/near the top 1/3 of its range, I don't do well. You might want to check out the thyroid forum, here on Med Help, also. There's a ton of information there for both Hashi and hypothyroidism. You can post your levels, with reference ranges, if you like, and members will make suggestions regarding how best to handle your situation.
Thanks - I do have Hashimotos thyroid disorder which is hypothyrodism, but I have been on medicine now for almost 4 months and my DR told me that I am now within normal range and should be able to lose. Guess I will look into the PCOS. Thanks again.
You may not be eating enough calories for the activity you are doing. If you restrict calories too much, your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto fat that's already there, because there's not enough coming in.
My other suggestion would be to get your thyroid levels tested. Hypothyroidism is a major cause of weight gain/inability to lose. Get a minimum of TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 tested.
You might also want to get tested for insulin resistance and PCOS, as both cause weight gain/inability to lose, also.
