possible super mammary tooth

Please advise best way to manage what appears to be an extra tooth

LOCATION; Right upper palate-just slightly behind incisor and in front of molar
poking out of the gum
am wondering of it could be a broken baby tooth (vet still isn't sure)
we are waiting for it to push through further and be more visible
am hoping to neuter after end of February and if it needs to be pulled can be done then
would the 5 week wait cause any damage to alignment?  future dental problems?
he is playing.eating. sleeping and learning well, mood is great

somewhat lousy breath-so I am more diligent in brushing to keep bacteria and possible infection down
it is red at times (the gumline) but no bleeding noted

Thanks in advance

mis-aligned teeth or retained deciduous (baby) teeth need to be dealt with immediately. Within 5 weeks there may be enough damage that one of the neighboring teeth is lost as well. Can you neuter him sooner? Make sure  dental radiographs are performed as well. Would you ever let your dentist remove a tooth or make a diagnosis without radiographs? Good luck
