my dog left me alone in this life

my beloved dog just died a week ago.
my dog Joujou was six years old having seizures from age 2. I loved him so much taking care for him like a son. I tried to control the seizures he was having every week by giving him phenobarbital. After some years his seizures escalated intensely status epilepticus, so I rushed him to 24 hrs vet emergency to save my precious dog. I saved him twice like that in about a year. The vet put him on potassium bromide with pheno. It controled his seizure but not totally free. He had them still but less severe and less intense. I worried for him a lot. I cooked for him everyday. He was my only hope and loyal friend in my life. Until last week I gave him meet as usual, he ate them. I was gone for a while and then came back. I opened the door  and he came to me like he was breathing difficulty. I thought he had another seizure. From then he was the same couldn't eat drink like before. Less energy he couldn't move. All the time he was laying down and breathing heavily with some strange voice coming from his throught or stomach I didn't know. After three days like that I was about to take him to a vet that could do some thin=g for my dog without greed for money He passed away in the morning after I came from work. I tried to give hive water with a syringe but he couldn't drink or at least move his tongue. His heart suddenly stopped beating and he stopped breathing . I took him to 24 hour vet very expensive vet emergency faacility where they prounced him tdead. I spent 4 hours with my beloved son kissing his legs his head and every part of his body telling him how much I loved him and cared about him. He was motionless, eyesopen and another world. This precious dog was attached to my soul for 6 years. I feel great loss and defeat in this life. I don't know how I am going to continue my life without him. I couldn't know what he had that took his life in about 3 days. Vets didn't have clue either. Please help

Love never dies.  You'll always love your little friend even though he's no longer with you.  In time I hope you'll see that there is another lucky little guy out there who needs you just as much as you need him.  Time is the only thing that will heal right now, so take that time and cry as much as you need to.  Try to remember all the good times you had and also try not to focus so much on the end.  There was so much more good to his life than his last 3 days, right?  :-)

Oh my dear I feel your pain.I think jmo that over the years his little body could not take any more and his heart just gave out.He gave you all the love that he could.
Do you know that there are so many wonderful dogs out there that would give anything to have your love and I am sure that JouJou would be so sad that you are in so much pain. I am sure that he would want you to get another poor little soul to look after and love PLEASE PLEASE either get a puppy or go to the dogs home and see how desperate some of these angels are. They are there through no fault of their own, call the home up and tell them your situation and I am sure they will have dog that wants love and care and will give you back that love in spades.
It will be the best thing you ever do.
If you decide to do this please let us know how you are going but if not please come back here we all love our dogs like you do and we understand.
But be warned I will not stop nagging you darling knowing that there is a poor  little  soul out there with your name on him or her waiting and pleading for you to come and get them as soon as you can.

my heart ackes for you and your fur-baby. i know how it is to lose a baby i had my kizmoe for 17 years and had to put him to sleep it was so hard but he was my sweet baby and i did not want him to suffer. i could not bury him i needed him close by so he sits in a box in my office with his pic on it i look at him all the time and i love him so. i never thought i would love another like him but i found out i could, my house was lonley so i got me a little girl this time had her flown in and shes my sweet angel.  plz get another one as soon as you can. there is another fur-baby out there that needs the love and home you gave your other one.

i want to give you this  that i had put on kizmoes box.

A heart of gold stopped beating
  Two shining eyes at rest
God broke my heart to prove
He only takes the best
God knows you had to leave me,
But you did not go alone.
For part of me went with you
The day he took you home.

It;s so very sad, and I am very sorry too. There is nothing like a good faithful dog who loves you for sure. Then when God has to take them, as take them He must...we suffer.
I am not a vet either. I have a lot of experience with dogs, but not experience of every ailment. So I am sorry I can't be a great help to you, as I couldn't tell you what he might have died of.
All I can say is I know the pain you are going through because I have been through it myself. Grieve, and give yourself time and permission to do that grieving. It is natural after the loss of a loved one. And no-one loves us like dogs do.
God bless.
