Chewed feet

My 11 year old labrador chews and licks her feet continuously.  They are raw and painful but that doesn't stop her.  She is too big to take in my car and the vet refuses to help unless he sees the dog personally.  I have a bottle of Curatex and was wondering if I can put this on her feet.  My question is will Curatex harm her if she licks it off?

Perhaps you have a friend with a bigger car that could take you?

You can try soaking in Luke warm water and some Epsom salts and dry well.

If this all 4 feet, is the dog on grass!  Had a Sheltie with this problem and it was seasonal and due to the grass.

They make an over the counter product that is called "bitter apple" its for situations like this.  Just spray it on his wounds and let it dry, it tastes so bad that he should leave his feet alone.  Just make sure you wear gloves, if you get it on your skin it doesn't wash off easily......trust me on that! lol

Hi Vals.  I don't even know what curatex is, so please do not use this.  Use a FOOD substance that she will not enjoy the taste of, but will not further irritate her feet.  I'm thinking straight lemon juice, maybe. - Blu
