Bump on female dog's nipple?

Well I have a 5 year old Female Shih-tzu; She has never been fixed or had puppies. A few days ago I found that she had a pink/red bump on one of her lower nipples, its probably about the size of a pea. It also feels about the same as what her nipple feels like. What could it be?
*I am taking her to the vet tomorrow, just wanting some suggestions until then.

I hope this is nothing to worry about, But it is very wise that you're taking her to the vet! If by any chance it is malignant, then early intervention and early surgery could mean a complete cure!

It could be nothing more then a lipoma, fatty tumor.  However, in an unspay female there is a higher risk of malignancy.  Good idea to have any suspicious lumps checked out.
Please update and good luck.
