When my dog gets a tick, I mark it on the calendar. If the tick was attached, and is a deer tick, your dog may experience symptoms of lyme disease weeks to months from now. Marking the tick on the calendar is a good reminder that if he does get sick, or starts limping....you will remember to mention the tick to your vet.

Most veterinary offices sell FrontLine products. If your vet doesn't have it, there must be another vet near you that does. It's not a prescription thing so it's not like you'll have to take your dog to that vet to be able to purchase it.
If none of the vets in your area carry it, try a pet supply website like Drs. Foster and Smith or one of those. They will surely have it.

I either get our dogs Advantix from our vet or order it online. Pet stores also sell flea meds. Don't buy any from grocery stores or 'WalMart cause they don't work.
