Lump found in puppies neck.

I have an almost 7 month old female shih tzu. 2 days ago, about halfway through the day she started acting real tired and was sleeping the rest of the day. The next day all day she acted this same way. Was sleeping all day. Not playing. Halfway through that day we noticed she had a fairly large lump under the right side of her neck near the her throat. When touching it did not cause her pain. She was eating like usual along with drinking water. No abnormal stools or urine. Just tired. Today she is back to her old self and playing as usual and the lump is still there and slightly smaller. We plan to take her to the vet tomorrow, but would like some suggestions as what it may be. It's slightly hard and round and smooth.(the lump). Thank you.

Puppy 10 weeks old has swollen lymph nodes. Still at breeders, what should be done?

This could possibly be a swollen lymph node? It's probable, because it came up, and is now starting to go down. The cause could be any infection/inflammation in the head or neck, ears, teeth or throat areas. Especailly as she was a bit 'down'....perhaps she had some small injury, or perhaps she had a slight infection.
The only thing is, swollen lymph nodes are usually slightly tender. So it may, or may not, be this.
I think it is best you do take her to the vet, even though she seems a little better. He could run some tests to rule out any problems with her general health, and examine her for signs of infection. I guess he could tell you what this lump is likely to be. The fact that it shrank some, doesn't make me think of cancer.
