My dog had a Seizure yesterday

Yesterday we (me and my girlfriend) went out for a few hours, and we found one of my four dogs(He is a collie and sheltie mix), locked in our bedroom. We are not sure how he got in their, but he was crying. He went through all the garbage, and later that night he had a seizure. It's like his legs gave out, and after literally one second, I picked him up, put him on the couch and he seemed ok. This morning He peed himself, couldn't walk, was drooling, hiding behind me, trouble walking, and panting.

He recently switched to purina puppy chow, and I am wondering if that could have anything to do with it. He has been healthy for all 9 years, and this just happened.

We went to the vet today and they think it was a seizure. All vitals were normal, BP was good, Glucose was good, neurological signs were perfect. They wanted to keep him overnight, but we didn't have the $2500 to do that. So we took him home. After being at the vet for 20 mins, he was back to himself. He was barking, running, jumping and eating.

I understand that It may be a brain tumor, but if it is, what can we do?

I am so scared, I can't lose him. He's not in pain, and

Agree with Karla.  Not sure if or why getting in the garbage would cause a seizure unless there was something toxic in there?  Lucky he didn't get pancreatitis.  I assume the Vet checked for that?
Yes, stop feeding that food and take Karla's advice.

Yes, this does sound like a seizure.....Whether it's the food or not, you must get rid of it!!! It's a terrible food and Purina is poisoning dogs all over this country with absolutely no recalls, yet dogs & Cats are becoming violently ill and/or dying on Purina foods....Last complaints I looked at were up to 4000 so far.....

Get him on a food with No Dyes, No preservatives, No artificial Color, No by-products & very few grains such as whole grains...He needs some real food no matter whats going on.....I'm curious, what was he eating before this??  Let me know, Karla
