My dog is so sick and after 3 vets and 3 months NO answers HELP!!!!!!

My not even 2 year old American Bulldog has been sick going on 3 months now.  Initial symptom was vomiting every 48 hours.  We took him  to the vet and he suggested an x-ray so we got one and he couldn't see anything so sent a to off to radiologist who said no obvious blockage but maybe foreign body in stomach.  We got exploratory surgery and blood tests came back fine - they examined intestines, stomach and bowel no signs of anything.  Tried treating him for worms , nothing changed.  Gave him antibiotics for infection , no change.  Head tremors started 3 weeks later.  LOTS of drooling!! Took him to othe vet and they treated him for ulcer... Week of antibiotics , no change.  Still pooping tary black stool and vomitting every 24 hrs , well 2 days ago now because he hasn't eaten a THING in now 5 days .... We are beyond frustrated and feel absolutely helpless for our love!!! He has lost 40 lbs and continuing :'(

Is there anything else on the bloodwork that if off, other than the anemia???? DO you have a copy of it?? If not, you need to get one for your files....

What does this dog eat, including snacks???? Thanks

OMG! That poor baby. Did they check for cancer? I mean with the tarry stool statement you made, it could be that. And I'm thoroughly surprised that someone didn't check for internal hemorrhoids or something to cause the stool discoloration. I know how you feel about your puppy and pray it gets resolved

Yes they said blood work doesn't show signs of cancer ... They said his white blood cells are sky high so infection just where they don't know \•/

That is heartbreaking.  I hope you can get him to the Vet school in Cambridge and soon!  Best of luck and please update.

That is simply horrible!  I would think the stool color could indicate bleeding.  Your profile doesn't show where you live.  Are you near a University Vet school you could take him to?  Have they ruled out possible pancreas or gallbladder problems?  This really sounds like a complex case!

We took him again to the vet and they gave him a bunch of meds for ulcer and more X-rays plus blood work... They said he's very anemic and doing a test for adidison disease? Ahhh so heartbreaking watching him fade away :'(. We are in Ontario and there's a vet school in Cambridge.. Good idea!! This Morning he goes back for more tests ... He's a fighter!!! And so are we
