Sudden death of my dog

I was walking my 2 pet staffies last night when my 3 year old ***** Tetley ate something, this is not unusal for her. Within a couple of minutes she started to vomit a little and foam at the mouth, she collapsed and ided on the roadside despite efforts of some poeple in the street. She had been in fine health up until this point. I had not seen what she ate and could not find any remains when I returned to the spot. I am unsure if what she ate is the cause or something else, please help?

I am so sorry.  It must have been horrible for you.  Maybe she was sick before.  I know my dog eats grass, then throws up.  I think they do this when they don't feel well and they want to clean out, so to speak.  Whatever happened, I am very sorry.

How awful.  :-(  Whatever it was, it sounds like a fast acting toxin.  The only way to for certain is to have your vet do a post mortem exam (autopsy).  I hope you will be able to do so, if only for the peace of mind.  If there was some infectious agent at work, you'll want to be able to protect your other dog.  Bless you both.
