What kind of puppy do I have???

I rescued a puppy in July who is now 6 months old.  She is blond, but her skin is all black.  I can not find anything online about dogs with black skin.  She is 41 pounds and smart/sweet as can be.  She has black spots on her tongue, triangle shaped ears that stick up most of the time.  She breaths very fast and hard when she is laying down.  I was told she was a chow chow mix but I'm not sure.  I've also been told she resembles a corgi or shiba inu.  I really would like an idea of what kind of puppy she is, why she has black skin and why she breaths so hard.  Thanks!

In a moment of foolishness I bought two DNA tests to find out what breeds made up my pit mix and my unidentifiable mix.  Don't waste your money!!!  My Ginger, who looks like a shepherd, lab, hound mix came back as chihuahua, St Bernard, and Rottweiler.  One look will tell you she is none of those things.  My Bucky, mostly pit bull, came back as chihuahua, bichon frieze, terrier, English springer spaniel, collie, and something else I can't remember.  To look at him the only part that makes sense is the springer spaniel because of the spots and coloring.  Keep your money.  They are all 100% dog and that's why we love them ;)

The breathing hard & fast when laying down...Did you tell your Vet this?

Has she been tested for Heartworm Disease?

My White Bichon has black spots on his tongue, too....I don't see any Husky in him, either!  ;)           Karla

without seeing the parents you will never know, she could be a Heins 57. There are many PURE bred dogs such as Labs that obtain purple spoting on the tongue aswell as huskies. this doesnot mean they have chow..that is a myth in its own. I wouldn't even waiste my time and money on those BS DNA tests.

Gosh she must have many breed mixes in her than LOL
I have never done it personally but I have heard although it can be expensive there is a blood test you can pay to have done to find out a dogs breed

I did take her to a vet and every person there said something different haha.  I got chow mix, lab mix, shepherd mix, corgi mix and shiba inu mix.....so maybe she has a bit of everything in her.

The best chance of finding out would be taking her into a veterinarian in person. She could be any breed or mix of dog as there is the rare type in each breed and it is also possible she is a cross which would make it difficult to know especially over the internet
