I would get regular Pepcid, or Zantac, or ask your vet if the complete is ok. Pepcid complete has Calcium carbonate 800 mg and Magnesium hydroxide 165 mg versus the regular Pepcid that only has Famotidine.
Pepcid AC is JUST an acid reducer....Pepcid Complete is an Acid reducer PLUS an Anti-Acid (Like a Rolaid or Tums).....Though they both will work, the COMPLETE is not prescribed long term because of the Anti-acid which is basically Calcium.....Something like 800 mg., which is way too high for a dog IF you are feeding a complete diet.....Too much Calcium is dangerous long term.....Hope that helps.....Karla
