You may do better starting your own post, not attaching to an old post on a not very similar subject.

What is the normal life expectancy for a lab?  I'd guess 12 years.

A time comes when a we have to let go and help our loved pet pass from this world.  Hasn't the vet suggested as much?  If not, ask the vet about your dog's quality of life and prognosis for surviving for even another 6 months.

I have a 13 year old female lab. She has been recently diagnosed with mammary tumour . Also she is diabetic as we recently found out. because of the tumours she has stopped urinating on her own, so we take her to the vet everyday for urination. Recently she has started crying day and night. We tok her to the vet and she was found to have exteme levels of blood sugar (600). She is being injected insulin on a daily basis, but she has now stopped eating. Also, the crying has increased . Is she in pain? What could we give her? I am desperate.

As the others said, we try to respond when we see the post.
Some hematoma s may resolve on their own but the dog may be left with a deformed ear.  I would never let that go.
There may be an underlying ear infection, mites, etc.  the dig really should be seen by a Vet who may opt to do aspiration only.  I am sure the dog is having discomfort. Since it is the weekend, you would have to call your Vet, if available or go to the ER clinic.  If not an option, I would call your Vet on Monday.
I am not qualified to suggest medication.
In the mean time, you might try boiling some water and adding sea salt or some Epsom Salts to the water.  When it is warm, but not too hot, try soaking a small cloth or wash cloth in the solution and hold that on the area fir 10-15 minutes every hour.  Do not press hard or squeeze it.

I responded to a recent post about an ear hematoma on a dog, don't know if it was you or not.  Sometimes it takes a day for people to get around to help everyone else... I am sorry that you feel you had a bad experience here at MedHelp.  Blessings - Blu
