Hi Kate..Eye infections are common in dogs......Left untreated, they can cause serious damage to the eyes.....Ask your parents to make a Vet appointment for your dog.....Antibiotic eye drops are used to clear up the infection.....It's very easy treatment and not too expensive...
In the mean time, take a warm, soft, wet wash cloth & gently wash the debris from your dogs eyes.....Good luck & let us know.....Eye infections clear up quickly once treatment has began...Only a Vet will be able to tell......Karla

It may help in the meantime to get a clean cotton cloth (wash cloth) and wet it with cool water and wipe the eyes from the nose out to try to remove any material that may be in or on the eyes and causing irritation.
Our little Terrier suffered from "dry eye" but that didn't seem to affect his sight, but we treated it as that condition can cause blindness if left untreated for months or longer.
