red spot?

I took gwen (pit/lab mix) to the beach and the park today and we had a lot of fun. We went to the beach first and then after running around for a while in a grassy field she laid down and I noticed that there was this red mark in the crease between the stomach and one of her hind legs. It looks almost like a blood blister that you or I would get but it's not hard, it's got some parts that are darker than others, and it's the size of a dime. It wasn't there before but she's never had any trouble at either the beach or the field. It doesn't seem to be bothering her and I might be over reacting, but when something like that just randomly shows up I wonder what it could be. Does anyone have any ideas?

Could be a bruise/broken blood vessels under the skin from all that running and playing or could be an insect bite.

Like Chi said just keep an eye and if it changes....bigger, swelling, puss filled, etc...or her behavior changes, make an appointment.

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, just probably got a bite or bruise.
Take care :)

I could not answer you on this forsure, who knows?? Keep a good eye on it, if it intenses on size or irritation to the dog, definitely seek a vet.
Try to put some cornstarch the kind you cook with on it, it won't hurt the dog if he licks and see if that helps any...
Welcome to forum, and good luck, keep us posted and let us know whats up...
