What???? I better leave this one alone.....Everything posted above, is the correct answer......Karla
P.S. You have a computer.....Can you go sell it (To a pawn shop) to save this girl? I'm sure she'd do it for you.....
I agree she needs a vet now .do not wait i agree with ginger it does sound like it is pyometra since it all a sudden started 2 months after her last heat that is usually the time it start it could not be closed pyomertra with you might not be visible signs a discharge or smell if this is the cause a changed behavior like not eating when she eats all the time is a sure sign sothing is wrong if it is pyomerta and it is the type is closed then it is alot worse and know matter what kind it is she needs to see a vet NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is painfully and could kidney failure and a long horrible death.Has she every been to the vet with that many litter in such a short time then she should have been seen by a vet call him ask about a payment plan if he does not do one, call around and find one that does. Her poor body and mind has been though so much for what she has good through before she showed up on door step (cut on throat) and then 3 litters within 4 yr poor baby she been through a whole alot she needs a vet do not keep letting her suffer something is going on and a vet is the only option call him pls.
A vet will usually do a payment plan. I know from first hand experience. You are her mom now so please have her seen by a Dr. She also needs to be spayed. I know that it is hard facing medical bills but our babies are worth it. Please let me know how everything turns out. Best of luck!
I do think she needs to see the vet, and this may possibly be urgent.
You say she was in heat about 2 months ago? That period of time is classic for symptoms of a very serious illness to appear...that is called PYOMETRA.
This is a serious womb infection, and can be fatal, so I beg you please to find a way to get her medical help.
Apart from abdominal pain, fever possibly, one symptom can be nausea/vomiting. Not eating may show she feels sick, or has pain. Dogs often refuse food when they are in pain.
With Pyometra, a dog can either have a vaginal discharge (foul smelling, and a bad colour) -or not. Pyometra with the discharge is bad enough, but Pyometra without a discharge is worse. Her womb would be filling up with pus, and there would be no way for that to escape, so it can kill quickly.
I know what I've said is scary, and of course there is always the possibility she does not have this. I mention it because of the 2 month period since her 'heat cycle', when that is more likely to appear.
So the best way to either find out if it is or is not that....or the best way for you to help her if she has it -is to get to a vet -pronto.
Believe me, I do understand what life is like without any money. But you will have to 'think outside the box' in some way....try to borrow that money/ask your bank for an overdraft/use a credit card/ask if your vet will accept a payment plan/ find out about CARE CREDIT, -whatever you can come up with.
Good luck.
I agree to the vet asap and if you can not take her to a vet take her to a shelter.4 litters in 3 years and may be pregnant again is so sad and i she is not eating something is wrong !!
Sorry I do not understand has she had these puppies while you have had her??? if so why do you keep breeding from her as she needs to stop being in pup for a start.
Do you know how old she is ?.Do you worm her every 3 months.
She could have been pregnant again and pups dead inside her .Her poor little body must be worn out.
You have to take her to the vet and if they can save her.... and get her spayed.
You say you took care of her before and after she had the pups what happened to the puppies.??
The best outcome is an infection and you will need antibiotics there is no cheap way out of this.Ask your Vet for a payment plan.
It sounds as though this little soul has been through hell and back before you got her with a cut throat that is really terrible.
I just hope she can be saved
once a month is more than enough. a responsible dog owner should not bath a dog more often. it is not healthy for their skin and fur and destroys the natural skin balance.
u make her bath just once in a month ?
I am a bit confused by this .. you had her 3 years and in that 3 years she had 4 litters of puppies? she was in heat 2 months ago so your saying you mated and is pregnant now? it takes 63 days for a dog to have puppies if she was pregnant she would he huge by now is she showing?
