Drontal is an excellent wormer because it not only kills all the usual suspects, it also gets rid of tapeworm, something that other wormers do not.

Welcome to the Dogs Community!
They are probably just roundworms and can easily be gotten rid of with an application of a wormer like Nemex2, followed by a second application in 2 or 3 weeks. Take a stool sample to your vet and he can give you the worming medicine for her. There is really nothing that I could recommend that you can just buy at a store to use, the wormers that they sell at grocery stores and such can be very harsh and still not take care of the problem correctly. Nemex2 is a very safe, very effective wormer that comes in a banana flavored paste that you can give them with little to no problem because they actually kind of like the taste. MUCH easier than stuffing an ineffective pill down their throat.
Just for your own knowledge, tapeworm doesn't show up as a long worm, it shows up as tiny little segments that resemble pieces of rice. Heartworm isn't anything that is ever seen outside of the body and the only way to diagnose heartworm is with a blood test. Since you just got the dog and don't have any veterinary paperwork on it, however, as long as you are going to get a wormer for the roundworms, have the vet run a test for it while you're there. As long as he is heartworm negative you can begin the monthly treatments right then and there to make sure he stays negative.
I hope you'll stay around and become part of our community! There are lots of good topics being discussed and you can learn all kinds of things to make the most out of sharing your life with a dog!

Thank You Teko, will get to the vet tomorrow and take care of this quickly.
thank you for the advice, will take care of this tomorrow.
You need to treat this very quickly. They can be contageous even to you not to mention other animals that might relieve themselves in the same area where your dog has gone.
Sounds like just a regular round worms. Dogs can easily get them if treatment isnt kept up to date. this happens because they walk on the ground so close to other feces from all sorts of animals, Squirals, birds, dogs, ect. and sometimes they'll step in it then lick their paws. this is easily treatable. just go to your vet and ask for some worm medication. i bought a small bottle when my dog had puppies and i treated the mother and all 4 puppies with some to spare and it was only $20. so it'll last you a long time. and its a lot stronger than the stuff at department stores or pet stores. i would do something soon though bc it is very irritating for the dog.
