Pain in upside of one ear suspect relation with stress

we have one case with paint in up side of left ear and some partly left side neck pain, also sense of muscle pain in left side of his body, after being in the front of fan for one night, the pain position shown below:

So i guess it could be **occipital neuralgia**, but the pain is not sharp and the patient puts hand on the upper side of his ear and pressed it and that position have has edema, red skin and the Ear canal have some partly edema the patient have suffers from some partly stress, so he have get the **Naproxen 500** fro every 12Hr for two day and said to return if the pain don't cured.

I like to know what cusses this pain?could it be from stress?
