Ear Nose and Throat

What is the cause of the foul smelling discharge coming from my nose following a tooth extraction?

A tooth infection can often leak into the maxillary sinuses.  You're advised to see your dentist or doctor about the infection.  In the meantime, sinus infections are different than dental infections (which may require antibiotics). You can flush out the infected mucus with a Neilmed Sinus Rinse.

Thanks. I did need antibiotics, and it took about three weeks for it to subside.
