bad smell from nose

hi,
pls am a concerned parent.have a little girl of 4yrs and she has a bad smell from her nose.first thought it's mouth odor,used all sorts of mouth wash and she eats a lot of carrots even took her to see a dentist until i discovered lately that the smell is from her nose.pls what can i do to help her get rid of this smell.

m also like the one u r talkin about....wen i was 15 years old ..some smell comes from both my nose and mouth.... it is really upseting.... do u think that this smell comes because of nose is connected to our food pipe n whatever we eat... that comes thru our nose...

You are not alone.  I am 37 years old and I have the same problem.  I have a foul order coming from my mouth and nose.  Mainly my nose.  It seems to be getting worse.  I take very good care of my teeth and see a Dentist on a regular who has verified that the smell is not coming from my mouth or teeth.  She felt that it was coming from my stomach so I have seen a Gastrointestinal Doctor who did an endoscopy of my stomach and confirmed that I did not have any type of intestinal disease/disorder.  I've had a colonoscopy done to confirm that there is no blockage of any sort.  I have seen an ENT Specialist who ran a scope down my throat and in my nose and couldn't find a thing wrong with me.  A foul odor is definitely a sign that something is wrong but no one can seem to figure out what it is.  I don't like to sit by anyone if I can help it and I talk as little as possible because I know other people can smell it.  I have tried everything. I have applied to vist the Mayo Clinic in Florida to see if they can help me.  I have read other stories on other medical sites so I know there are others out there who have the same thing.  In almost all of the cases the person had some type of fungal infection in the sinuses, an infection in the lungs, Staph in the nose, or believe it or not, items up their nose.  One guy had a small hair bead up his nose that had been there probably since he was a child and it was full of gunk.  I encourge both asabi and helpmenoww to start at the pediatrician's office.  If they can't find anything they should give you a referral to see an ENT specialist.  Hang in there.  Good luck to you.

I have the same thing. its miserable.
im 15.
and ive had it all my life.
this year it has definetly gotten worse though, i get it twice a day.
