Neurologist just scheduled EEG and VNG but...

I had a myringotomy done in Feb or 2012 - just 5 months ago. Can the VNG cause problemw with the tubes in my ears? Especially if I have already had an extensive ENG just before the myringotomy and they found nothing wrong.
This is to determine the cause of the vertigo that I have had every 8 days or so for 3 months at a time which started just after moving to Arizona in January of 2011. The vertigo lasts a month at a time then goes away for 2-3 months and then comes back. ENT said cause was ear infections and performed myringotomy,.
Thanks
Yosef

The presence of an ear tube WILL affect the VNG results.  A rotary chair test may be more appropriate.
