Bad Breath help?

I've been having this fart smell coming from my nose and mouth lately. I can taste it. I used to cough up tonsil stones but i haven't coughed up any in a long time. i poked around my tonsils and pulled the crypt back a little bit and there were no white chunks coming out as far as i could see. my tonsils are regular sized and don't really give me trouble at all. I've had excessive mucus before but its gone now thanks to medicine. the taste of the bad breath is around the back of my throat and uvula.it smells like fart.what is this?

I am experiecing similar thing over 17yrs now. I find life frustrating now because of this embarrassing illness. My breadth stinks so bad that people from 4 feet can smell it. I have been to ENT doctors, have my sinuses checked, done nasal endoscopy, gone to the dentist, pratice regular flossing and teeth brushing, stopped eating red meat, egg and other dairy products but the illness still persist. It all started in my childhood with a sinus problem. I can sneeze about 100 times especially when room dust gets into my nostril. Sometimes blood comes out of my nostril when I sneeze but that was in rare cases. In addition to this, I have fum bleeding and that also worsens my woes. I am asthmatic but do not get the attack anymore. It was cured. My major problem now is to get my social life back by curing this bad breadth. I have begun the saline nasal douche to see it my case will get better. If anyone has a solution, please let us know to at least get ourselves going for a while... It really frustrating and depressing to see yourself distancing yourself from friends and not living a social life.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Bad breath (halitosis) is caused by improper oral hygiene, gum and tooth disorders and certain medications. Tonsillar and throat infections can also cause a foul breath. It could also be due to sinus infections. They are due to stasis and infection of the sinus cavities, and the resultant drainage into the nose and throat causes the bad smell. Facial pain, fever and nasal discharge are the other symptoms of sinusitis. Follow good oral hygiene, do betadine mouth gargles and consult your doctor to rule out other causes.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
