What is going on with my ears?

For a long time I've had a lot of ringing in my right ear. I went to a doctor and he gave me some antihistamines and steroid ear drops, but as soon as I stopped taking the medications, the symptoms came right back. A few months passed and I started having dizzy spells. At first I didn't think anything of it as they were rare, but for the past two months they've been happening every day, so I went to another doctor, who gave me a nasal spray. That seemed to help for a while, but now not so much. Now for the past week, my ears have been ringing louder than ever, they've been feeling full and painful, and it feels like I can't hear as well in my right ear. I scheduled an appointment with a specialist for next week, but I want to know what to expect. This has been going on for so long I almost feel like I can't wait any longer for answers
