Blood in the mornings.

I have been spitting up blood, mostly in the mornings, for the last two years.  I think it is coming from my sinuses or my throat.  Some mornings it is a lot of blood, but nothing really hurts because my throat has been swollen for so long that it is almost normal for me.  About four years ago my doctor told me that I needed to have my tonsils and adenoids removed, but I do not have medical insurance.  I have tried everything from taking medications to using a humidifier.  I have not been back to the doctor for years.  Is the bleeding normal or should I be worried?

I personally feel that it is important to see a DR if you are spitting up blood - for two years now.

Isn't there a health clinic in your town?

There's care (free / sliding scale, depending on income) provided by local county clinics and public health departments.  Call your local county hospital for contact information.

Small amounts of blood are not concerning if it's coming from your nose, but the concern would be if it's coming from your lungs.  Please see a physician right away.
