Burnt Tongue

Hello,
I had been having some stomach problems and a friend recommended I try organic apple cider vinegar to help.  I was told to take a certain quantity but not told to dilute.  About the fourth day into it, I burned my toungue.  It still hurts about 3 weeks later (not severe but noticeable) .  The mere fact this happened is silly but could I have done some serious damage?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

It’s unlikely that there could be permanent damage to the tongue. But as suggested above, please have yourself evaluated, to assess the damage. In the meantime take OTC multivitamins and cold fluids to help with your symptoms.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Geez....how much did you drink?

I can't imagine your tongue burned and hurting from apple cider vinegar.

You definitely should have your physician check this.
