Ear Drum Trauma

My son works in the man holes working on the electrical wiring - friday one of the transformers started to spark after helping his crew out of the man hole he had to reach in the man hole to grab some expensive equipment when the transformer exploded.  After wards his left ear felt like he was in an airplane and it has not changed after 3 days -

today he had some black waxy liquid come out - should he see a physician.

How is this even a question?

If he was involved or near a Work Related Accident, he should have seen a Doctor ASAP!

Black Fluids coming from the Ears, I would go to the Doctors ASAP, or Emergency Room.
