Eustachian tube dysfunction - what are the symptoms?

Is it dizziness? I usually almost always feel like i'm on a boat... it's not a dizziness, but rather balance type just like i'm on a boat... my head always feels like it is full type feels weird... ears plugged usually too... my head almost feels like it is full of mud or something not unable to concentrate or anything but just feels awkward...
Thank you. Best Regards, Megan.

I have been experiencing sinus issues and a stuffed ear. Mi went to the ent yesterday and was told I had a viral infection in my eustachian tube and prescribed me an oral steroid and a steroidal nasal spray.  He also gave me exercises to do. Today is day one of steroids, I hope they start to work.  Tired of feling like I'm falling over.  Very scarey and nauseating.

To all on this page who are suffering from dizziness, ear fullness, brain fog, and hearing noises in your body, there is a rare condition called Superior Canal Dehiscence.  It is difficult to find, but once they do, and perform the surgery, it is relief!  My daughter had all these symptoms, and they told her she was fine, tests were normal, that she had migraines.  UCLA is the plade to diagnose for it.  Dr. Isaac Yang has several webinars on youtube you can watch.  Please take the time to research, especially if certain sounds set you off.  It was only discovered in 1998, so many doctors are not familiar with it. We are in a scds support group on Facebook with other sufferers which has helped tremendously.  Good Luck!:)

your symptoms sound almost identical to mine. I have yet to find another person who has dizziness (mine is constant though) dont know about yours and also trouble swallowing. Feeling as if there is a lump of something in my throat for years now I have felt this before my dizziness came on randomly one day and the ear issues followed a few days later. Constant popping everytime I swallow or yawn in both ears but seems left pops easier. Right is muffled from eustachian tube dysfunction I gather. I just wish I had an answer for these 2 awful symptoms..I have a lot of other symptoms but the dizziness (drunk feeling) blurry vision, and swallowing issues I want gone. I am going to get on some acid reflux meds and try it. Have you had any more success with your symptoms? Please message me back and maybe we can connect and chat.

I have been suffering with most of the above symptoms for ten years and have been to more doctors and had more tests than I care to remember  - all normal. Along with ear fullness, pressure, imbalance etc., I also sweat terribly when I become imbalanced. Does this happen to anyone else?

I would strongly suggest you see a chiropractor.  I am not saying all Eustachian tube problems are related but mine sure was. I suffered with allergies and a blocked right ear with vertigo for a year.  The doctors (2 of them) said I had eustachian tube blockage and put me on nasal steroids for a year with minimal results.  They were getting ready to send me to an ENT and I just felt it was structural.  I went to a chiropractor and x-rays showed my 2nd and 3rd vertebrae were misaligned and squeezing on nerves affecting my sinuses and ears.  With neck and spinal manipulation, within 3 days my hearing returned, dizziness left, and my sinuses cleared.  I still have a ways to go but I have found my problem.  If you have tried everything, I strongly suggest seeing a chiropractor.
